Service Description

Notarization of a variety of documents. Please give a brief description of the type of document when booking the appointment. I may contact you to have a scanned copy emailed to me prior to the appointment. Common documents for notarization include Statutory Declarations, Affidavits, ICBC declarations, and Certified True Copies. Appointment will include: - Verifying the identity of the signing party; - Signing a waiver of legal advice; - Affirmation that the document has been read and is true; - Witnessing and notarizing the document. PLEASE READ the following notes before you finalize booking your appointment. - I do not notarize certain documents that require legal advice or do not legally require notarization. For example, documents such as contracts, loan agreements, wills, separation agreements, bill of sale, lease agreements and self-drafted land title documents. With the nature of notarization, I will have a waiver of legal advice for you to sign at the beginning of the appointment. As such, I am unable to assist with the content of the document. If you have any questions, contact the organization for whom you will be providing the document to or where you got it from. If you book an appointment for the above types of documents, the appointment will be cancelled without further notice. - Please ensure you provide a correct email address so you can receive cancellation notices or other important information about your appointment. Late arrivals will only be honoured as my schedule allows. - Please ensure all aspects of the document are completed in full EXCEPT your signature and the very bottom of the page where it says “declared before me.” I must witness you signing in person during the appointment for it to be a proper notarization. - The fee is usually $50 plus tax for the notarization of one document with one notary signature. The charge is an additional $10 per notary signature thereafter. For Land Title documents, Power of Attorney (for the Attorney’s signature only), or written ID verification, the charge is MINIMUM $80 plus tax. - I do not provide the service of printing, copying, or emailing scanned copies of documents. The only exception of this is if I am providing a Certified True Copy, where the copy is included in the price. - Please note that at this time, I can only accept cash, e-transfer, or credit card payments. Thank you for reading. Please do not hesitate to contact me for clarification or if you have any questions.
